What you’re considering

In gestational surrogacy, a fertility clinic transfers an embryo created using eggs and sperm from the intended parents or donors. The surrogate does not use her own eggs.

The medical plan is only one part of the process. Your family’s support, work schedule, relationship with the intended parents and recovery after birth all deserve attention.

Program compensation

$60,000–$90,000+

The total may include base compensation, allowances and payments tied to specific circumstances.

Compensation note: Total compensation range; request a current written breakdown. Confirm your individual package, eligibility and payment terms in writing before making a decision.

From first conversation to recovery

The journey, step by step.

Getting acquainted

Tell us why you’re interested and what you need to know. An initial inquiry is not an application approval.

Screening and records

The program and clinic review relevant pregnancy records, health history and other screening requirements. Ask about the time involved and who pays associated costs.

Meeting intended parents

Talk about contact, boundaries, appointments and difficult decisions before choosing a match. Both sides need room to ask questions.

Putting the agreement in place

Review the proposed arrangement with your own attorney, including compensation, insurance, expenses, decision-making and the required financial arrangements.

Clinic treatment and pregnancy

Your clinicians explain medication, transfer, monitoring and prenatal care. Plans can change; ask how canceled cycles and complications are handled.

Birth and the weeks afterward

Confirm your recovery support, follow-up care, remaining expenses and communication preferences before the due date.

Could it fit your life?

A prior healthy pregnancy, a stable home life and practical support are common starting points. The clinic must review your individual history; a website checklist cannot approve you.

Ask us for current program criteria before making plans around a particular age or BMI cutoff.

Outside California?

Ask about your location early. The clinic, legal team, insurance arrangements and delivery plan all affect whether a proposed journey can work.

Put travel, lodging, childcare and lost wages into the written discussion. Do not assume every expense or travel arrangement is covered in the same way.

You don’t need all the answers to get in touch.

Tell us what you’re considering. We’ll help you work out the next question.
